Who says you can't buy a SEPTA regional rail ticket from a machine anymore?

It's just not a SEPTA ticket machine. I got this last night in Trenton Station, from a NJTransit machine. The screen was pretty confusing, though. I decided (correctly) that what they called a "tunnel ticket" meant it was good for any destination past Center City... such as Swarthmore.

As for why I was in Trenton in the first place... that, friend, is a tale of a difficult ending to a relaxing weekend in upstate New York -- a tale that includes the words "please step away from the vehicle; I can hear a fire under the hood." Full story next SWAPA!

Ah, yes... when I was coming down for Alumni Weekend, I had an amusing time trying to find the SEPTA ticket counter...

"Just use the machine."

"What machine?"

You're welcome to keep us in suspense until SWAPA, but i'd rather not wonder whether the vehicle in question was Zorblak's car, some unit of pubtrans, or some other thing. And, for that matter, whether everyone was okay; i assume so from your not having said otherwise, but, again, would like to know. Thanks.

I think the only SEPTA vehicles with "hoods" are ParaTransit mini-buses within the city (I'm pretty sure Jim wasn't on one of those) and hi-rail maintenance trucks (and if Jim's trip involved riding in one of those somehow his SWAPA is going to be pretty long).

So yeah, I too am concerned about private vehiclage and friends' safety here! Please reassure us, Jim!

Everyone's totally okay, though Joe's car is going to be in the shop for a little while.
