Petty Theft :^(

eclectic_boySomeone just stole my laundry basket. When I went down to the laundry room in Greylock's basement at 4:00 to put more quarters in the dryer, I noticed that someone had emptied one of the washing machines into my basket. I started to dump out those clothes, but decided there was no harm in leaving them there, and that putting them onto the table might bother the owner, since previously someone had told me it was unsanitary to put clothes there.
When I came back at 5:30 to get my clothes, the basket was gone. I looked around the basement, and put up a sign -- I even printed out 50 little "missing basket!" slips and put them in all the mailboxes. I'm still hoping it was a mistake, maybe that the person whose clothes were put into my basket carried the basket back to their apartment and forgot to return it. But we'll see.
Update! At 10:30 I went out in the hall and found the basket leaning up against the wall. I'll never know the full story (unless somebody speaks Basket?), but my anthropy just went back up a few notches.
